The fool title gives the dream logic a self-mocking frame. The repeated watching makes the speaker both observer and seeker, ending with the admission that finding you does not get easier.

Titled 'The fool,' the poem watches dreams that 'walk and sure fly,' leaving and coming back, with 'Stars up more then a skirt.' For all their motion the speaker admits no progress in the one thing that matters: 'No way I get better / At finding you.'
