By Jack Joseph Smith

O'Dandy is looking acroos the foreheads of cops, and staring at papers ready to be forced in faces unsure. O'Dandy's face looked so strange. He was a man who had taken his time and waited. It had seemed like seconds, maybe it was an hour. But when you know where you are going, and have to build carefully on the way, without any real knowledge of the outcome, it is difficult. He wanted the cord to be tied so tightly, that he who had strung it, would have total control of its vibration. There was certainly a bit of humor in the dry air. Who could possibly, even if they be a cops, fad their memory away from what they always wanted to do. Flip the totally unmeanful coin to those representing it, and then walk away to the bars in laughter. I wonder how many cops would like to be put away? For where they appear to walk, it's the next to the hardest way out. Where am I again? I guess I am here. I refused a moment ago to let it spin again. Dandy spoke on that delicate line, that is as harsh as the twine pealing. Lutentant, I would like those girls arrested. They were soliciting on the streets of Mount Lebanon. I will sign anything. They are noting, but whors. We can not permit this kind of conduct, that freely sudices the young minds of our community. He lifted his finger, and pointed at the two girls, who were now shivering in mental remorse. They are sluts and prostitutes, that must be shown their guilt before a court of just law. It is in your hands. The power is invested in you. Are you, or are you not, our procectors? I'm not going to put up with with this kind of damage, that makes man weep at the side of garbare cans. Yes, that is what they were doing, and they know very well. Catch a man in a bad state of mind, and then run him around your pussy. Right girls. I want them arrested right now. Nervious girls standing up and moving in front of each other, definately not sure

O'Dandy waits for the right moment in the station, then reframes the girls as the offenders by demanding their arrest for soliciting and pushing the lieutenant to act as protector of Mount Lebanon's public morality.

The page shows Dandy's method as timing and framing rather than force. He understands the police room as a theater of embarrassment, and he tries to seize control by weaponizing the language of law, decency, and community.

The narrator reads O'Dandy's patience as strategy - 'He wanted the cord to be tied / so tightly, that he who had strung it, would have total control of its vibration' - and senses the cops' buried wish to 'Flip the totally / unmeanful coin' and walk away laughing. Then O'Dandy springs his inversion, demanding the lieutenant arrest the two girls: 'They were soliciting on the streets / of Mount Lebanon... They are sluts and prostitutes, that must be shown their guilt,' pressing the badge as 'our procectors' against conduct 'that makes man weep at the side of garbare cans.' His finger points at the girls 'now shivering in / mental remorse,' weaponizing community decency to shame the police.
