Now we go further back in time;
the same three boys are running
with 4 or 5 other youngsters through
an open field in the midsummer
sun. They hold torches
high in open hands, and are
burning the wheat with the
wind at their backs.
As they disappear into a forest
below, we hear the sound
of fire engines through their
laughter.
Now we are with the same
boys as teenagers again. Boys
and girls are piling into an
apartment from
an alley. In the corner of
this apartment is a slot machine
and in another room there is a
poker game going on. There is
